When You Visit a Sikh Household

• In a Sikh household, you may see pictures of:
  • The Gurus of the Sikh tradition.
  • The Golden Temple in Amritsar, the most important place of Sikh pilgrimage.
• Some Sikh homes have a special room where they keep a copy of the Guru Granth Sahib.
• This room is used for prayer and meditation.
• If you enter this room:
  • Remove your shoes.
  • Cover your head as a sign of respect.
